And that’s not the worst of it. Sometimes it’s no different than not being connected to the internet at all. To see what this is like, just start playing around your with your web browser without connecting to the internet and you will know what it is to have NetZero. This service should never really be considered by anyone who actually needs to use it.

Then after re-logging back on it would happen every 20-30 minutes. I could not get any sort of email with attachments without dropped connection. May be okay for unimportant browsing and short e'mail messages but if you need to actually work and be online for long periods of time and send/receive work related e'mails with attachments and downloads, better look into something else.... JUST TERRIBLE!

Not being the most patient person in the world, I cancelled in the third week of a month's trial.

Their notification of "inactivity" doesn't sit on top of the active window, but on the desktop, so you don't know it's there. Even with high-speed, downloads regularly go down to 1.5kbs. I remember getting faster downloads 20 years ago with 110 baud.

If you're a casual web-surfer, that stays on for maybe an hour, two at most, NetZero is right up your alley. However, if you're into online gaming or anything that involves an extended period of time online, don't bother downloading because the server automatically boots you every 3-4 hours and isn't worth the hassle.
