Simply the worse web hosting service bar none. I have never even heard of one this bad. Please stay away at all costs. I won't bore you with our club's story because it falls right in line with the other reviews. If the admin that picked this site wasn't such a great guy and had done so much for the club, we would be stringing him up for not investigating this service. So all I can advise is stay away.

1) First, you get their cheap advertised price was only if you sign up for a year with them. Nowhere on their site had mentioned this and I was misled into thinking I was getting a really "good deal". I ended up paying considerably more. 2) The connection on their server was sporadic. My site would be down for hours at a time. By my estimates, they're down at least 80% of the time. By many reviewers' accounts, they disable your account if they deem you're using too much of their CPU resources. 3) I tried calling their 800 number to cancel my account towards the end of my contract with them but each time I was kept on hold for 15 to 30 minutes. I then sent several emails to Canaca requesting that my account be cancelled because I no longer need their services. They did not respond. When it came time for the end of the 3-month contract, they billed my credit card for another 3 months. I had to call my credit card company to let them know that it was an unauthorized charge. The credit card company told me I have to fill out some chargeback paperwork due to arrive in 5-7 days in the mail. Instead of succumbing to their seeming tempting deals, I should have listened to innumerable reviewers labeling Canaca as a shady establishment. Take heed and steer clear of Canaca. Don't be enticed by their prices to take the plunge. Save yourself some grief and look somewhere else - you have been forewarned. Google some and you'll find a wealth of negative reviews on by people who were burned by their shady practices.

Companies like canaca drive more business to me and I appreciate that. The point is that their technical support is so lame that people come to me asking to upload files to their websites on canaca. Why? because often the root folders are pointing to another folders than Apache is! I myself is not their customer and God forbid to become! he-he. I totally agree with the rest of reviews about calling this company and emailing. It's just not worth it totally!

They look cheap. But the $4/month price that they advertise only happens when you pay for five years up front or something like that. Customer support was terribe (when I asked if they could tweak the apache config a little bit, they told me that I needed to upgrade to some $60/month service). Ended up switching to linode, which was quite a relief.

I do not know how this company is still in business or getting any business at all. Site is slow if up at all. Tecnical support is a joke. I would have rather take my $350 and put it in the sewer out side my house. That would of gave me more satisfaction than this company! Adam M.A.C. Entertainment

These guys have annoyed me so much that I'm almost twitching from their incompetancy and lack of technical support and expertise. My sites are continually down or running slowly and tech support offers no reasons as to why. Of course, that's assuming that they even take the time to respond. I wonder if they can be nailed for advertising reliable 99% uptime because there's no way there even in the 90 - 95% range. No matter how good their services look to you, do yourself a favor and stay away.

I am on their silver plan and I agree with all the bad reviews they received. Stay away. Here are a few problems I have had with them. 1) Emergency phone support is a voicemail, saying to email them. 2) Emergency support response is between 4 to 8 hours average with my site being down. 3) Cannot contact anyone at Canaca by phone besides the accounts department who refuse to let you talk to anyone besides them. 4) Left multiple emails for the technical support manager contact me to discuss some issues. Up to now no response. 5) 99% uptime availability is more like 95%. There were other times when my website was down but I could ping their server. Occasionally, site woud be very slow with one on the site. From dealing with Canaca, it feels like they are a fly by night company. They don't have the management and technical expertise to run a webhosting company.

The certificate to access your administration area is invalid, the server works only occasionally. Poor choice for a host at any price.
