UPGRADE - This normally refers to a newer version of software, or a version with an enhanced feature set. If you already own a previous version of the software, you can often purchase an upgrade version for a lower price than a new version. In terms of hardware, you can upgrade your system by adding more memory, or any component that makes your system better or faster.
