CORBA is defined by a group of 800 companies called the Object Management Group, a non-profit consortium that produces and maintains computer industry specifications for interoperable enterprise applications. Microsoft has been a member of OMG since 1992 and has released competing technologies, first with OLE and more recently with DCOM. |
