build a fairly decent router/firewall combo by using the free "GnatBox Lite" software, along with your donor PC and a couple of ethernet cards. This is what I did, and it works very well. OTOH if you prefer to buy, instead of build, some of the "home routers" on the market offer a "dial-up" (via an external modem) option (check the info on the box, before buying, to make sure).
