"home built router" provides some real "firewall features" (i.e. much better security than Windows provides by itself)! And when we eventually do get broadband working for my dad, the PCs on his LAN are already setup to use it. Why? Because they are already using my (GnatBox Lite) "router" as their "gateway" to the internet. So all I have to do to "switch to broadband", is change the router to use
