what I did, and it works very well. OTOH if you prefer to buy, instead of build, some of the "home routers" on the market offer a "dial-up" (via an external modem) option (check the info on the box, before buying, to make sure). You then hook up your external modem to whatever "router" you are using, and configure the router to "dial on demand" (i.e. whenever a PC on your Silver Lake 56k dialup, Silver Lake, KS dialup 56k Silver LakeSilver Lake dialup, 56k Kansas, Silver Lake 56k dialup
